About the Role
In this role, you will promote and sell Veolia’s complete pure water and ultrapure treatment systems to light industry clients in the Denver and Salt Lake City areas. You will support clients with expansions, additions, water conservation projects, and account management, positioning yourself as part of the client’s team. The offering includes Service Deionization (SDI) through to standard reverse osmosis systems. You will develop and execute growth plans for the assigned region, collaborating with adjacent team members to drive consistent growth for Veolia’s Asset Care business in the Western U.S.
Responsibilities
- Sell directly to clients and prospects to develop SDI and Asset Care projects.
- Collaborate with other SDI/Asset Care sales personnel to develop sales strategies and action items.
- Lead and coordinate with internal Veolia teams to develop proposals for identified projects.
- Demonstrate strong sales acumen in all client and prospect interactions (verbal, written, and body language).
- Drive profitable sales projects, focusing on SDI accounts with annual revenue expectations of over $5,000 or significant additional opportunities.
- Target large service projects over $10,000 within existing and prospect accounts, leveraging Veolia’s service team to differentiate from competitors.
- Maintain business relationships through personal visits, emails, calls, and conference calls to grow revenue and profit at existing accounts.
- Develop and execute tailored pricing strategies in collaboration with the National Business Director and National Business Development Leader.
- Create contracts and agreements with clients.
- Communicate customer needs, qualify new leads, and work with Engineering and Commercial Operations teams to provide competitive solutions.
- Proactively drive the SDI product line and outsourcing solutions.
- Foster partnerships with Veolia’s sales personnel in other business units to maximize team selling and lead sharing.
- Develop a pipeline of well-qualified projects for short, medium, and long-term success.
- Provide prompt and responsive service to clients in your territory.
- Support new product launch campaigns and gather market information for new developments.
- Interface with Product Marketing and other disciplines to create value propositions for customers and prospects.
- Travel frequently within the assigned territory.
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in science, engineering, or environmental studies.
- 5+ years of experience in the engineering, design, service, or selling of water systems used in industrial, commercial, and healthcare facilities.
- WQA - Master Water Specialist certification preferred.
- Knowledge and experience designing, servicing, or selling service DI, RO systems, RO pre-treatment systems (multimedia filters, softeners, carbon filters, UF systems), and water disinfection systems.
- Proven history of meeting goals and objectives in previous roles.
- Experience and familiarity with industrial plants across diverse markets, with preference for candidates experienced in CPI, petrochemical, steel, aluminum, F&B, metal coatings, and semiconductor industries.
- Experience working with universities and hospitals, with knowledge of high-purity water systems required in these settings.
- Strong commitment to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), prioritizing personal safety in various work environments.

- Experience with team selling and pre-planning client meetings with defined roles for each team member.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products, Google Suite, and Salesforce.
