About the Role

In this role, you will promote and sell Veolia’s complete pure water and ultrapure treatment systems to light-industry clients in the Denver and Salt Lake City areas. You will support clients with expansions, additions, water-conservation projects, and account management that positions you as part of the client’s team. The portfolio includes Service Deionization (SDI) through standard reverse-osmosis systems. You will develop and execute growth plans for the assigned region, collaborating closely with adjacent team members.

Responsibilities

  • Sell directly to clients and prospects to develop SDI and Asset Care projects.
  • Work alongside other SDI/Asset Care sales personnel to craft sales strategies and action plans.
  • Lead and coordinate inclusively with internal Veolia teams to develop proposals for identified projects.
  • Demonstrate strong sales acumen in all client interactions (verbal, written, and body language).
  • Drive profitable sales projects, focusing on SDI accounts with annual revenue potential over $5,000 or significant upsell opportunities.
  • Target large service projects over $10,000 within existing and prospect accounts where Veolia’s service team can differentiate itself.
  • Maintain business relationships through personal visits, emails, calls, and conference calls to grow revenue and profit at existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute a tailored pricing strategy in concert with the National Business Director and National Business Development Leader.
  • Draft contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Communicate customer needs, qualify new leads, and collaborate with Engineering and Commercial Operations teams to deliver competitive solutions.
  • Proactively drive the SDI product line and outsourcing solutions.
  • Partner with Veolia sales personnel in other business units to maximize team selling and lead sharing.
  • Build a pipeline of well-qualified projects for short-, medium-, and long-term success.
  • Provide prompt, responsive service to sales clients in the territory.
  • Support new product launches and gather market intelligence for future developments.
  • Interface with Product Marketing and other disciplines to create compelling value propositions.
  • Travel frequently within the Denver and Salt Lake City territory.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in science, engineering, or environmental studies.
  • 5+ years of experience in the engineering, design, service, or selling of water systems used in industrial, commercial, and healthcare facilities.
  • WQA – Master Water Specialist certification preferred.
  • Domain knowledge of SDI, Asset Care services, RO systems, RO pre-treatment systems (multimedia filters, softeners, carbon filters, UF systems), and water disinfection systems.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and objectives.
  • Experience with industrial plants across CPI, petrochemical, steel, aluminum, food & beverage, metal coatings, and semiconductor markets.
  • Experience working with universities and hospitals, including knowledge of high-purity water systems.
  • Strong commitment to environmental health and safety (EH&S), prioritizing personal safety in diverse work environments.

Skills

  • Strong presentation skills with a high degree of client empathy.
  • Effective listener who asks clarifying questions to distinguish client needs from wants.
  • Ability to build and lead strong support teams.
  • Experience with team selling and pre-planning client meetings to assign roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, Google Suite, and Salesforce.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $90,000 – $125,000 USD, based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and internal peer equity.
