Pay is $22.55 per hour. Rehires are subject to a 181-day wait period from their last date of employment to be considered for an interview. Candidates who have worked for Tyson Foods or Tyson affiliates 3 or more times will not be eligible for rehire.

About the role

This position is responsible for transporting full cages to the Live Dock and transporting empty cages back to the trailer. The Forklift Operator gets the front uppermost cage from the trailer under the Live Receiving Shed and transports it to the infeed rollers of the mechanical Live Dock. The Forklift Operator then puts the full cage down on the infeed rollers, backs out from under the full cage, and maneuvers to lift the next empty cage from the mechanical Live Dock outfeed rollers. The Forklift Operator puts the empty cage back in the first available slot on the trailer. Responsible for adding fuel to the forklift as needed.

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Responsibilities

• Transport full cages to the Live Dock and empty cages back to the trailer
• Retrieve the front uppermost cage from the trailer under the Live Receiving Shed and transport it to the infeed rollers of the mechanical Live Dock
• Place full cages on infeed rollers and maneuver to lift empty cages from outfeed rollers
• Return empty cages to the first available slot on the trailer
• Add fuel to the forklift as needed
• Perform other duties as tasked by administration
• Observe all Tyson safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Must have 3 months of forklift experience within the last 12 months, documented in your work history or resume (can be a combination of employers)
• Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Must pass a background check if required for the role
