About the Role

The Twin Peaks Bar Back is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all aspects of the Twin Peaks bar and its beverage program. Team members are defined by pride, extreme standards, and discipline in maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to uniform standards and policies that maintain a clean and sanitized restaurant.
• Maintain clean and organized bar stations and equipment.
• Ensure HOH Standards, Safety and Sanitation, and GHS requirements are followed at all times.
• Work as a team and train using tablets or computers.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking the bar, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables.
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked with all necessary items.
• Change kegs, check taps, and confirm appliances are working and in good repair.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bar Back.
• Ability to communicate in English and understand prep recipes and line build procedures.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Must attend orientation and agree to Twin Peaks policies and procedures.
• Must complete the HOH training program prior to working unsupervised.
• Must complete any required food and/or alcohol service certifications as mandated by local and state regulations.

Physical Demands

The role requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle objects or controls, and communicating effectively. The Bar Back must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to fumes, airborne particles, wet or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Some locations may have smoking sections, exposing staff to cigarette or cigar smoke.

Uniform Requirements

• Clean Twin Peaks black hat worn forward at all times, with the brim unbent.
• Hair must be clean and kept underneath the hat.
• Must be clean-shaven; beards and mustaches are allowed but must be well-maintained.
• Fingernails must be kept trimmed.
• No jewelry is allowed in ears, face, around the neck, or on wrists.
• No headphones or earbuds are permitted.
• Clean, non-faded, and wrinkle-free Twin Peaks kitchen shirt tucked in.
• Belt is required.
