Truck Scooper/Cashier

Posted compensation: $15/hour (part-time, on-site)

About the Role

Truck cashier/scooper for Event/Roaming Trucks at Brookfield Zoo and Shedd Aquarium. Pay starts at $15/hour + tips, based on experience. At every stop, we set up colorful chairs, cones, and music to create an engaging environment and unforgettable moments for our communities.

Responsibilities

• Order taking
• Communicate with the team for special orders or allergies
• Wipe down counters and surfaces between customers
• Restock ice cream flavors in display tubs
• Restock bowls, cones, napkins, and spoons behind the counter
• Assist with other tasks as needed

Requirements

• Ability to effectively communicate, whether written or verbally
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Current food handler’s card preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Flexibility of hours
• Customer service skills
• Reliable transportation is a must

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate (a plus)
• Prior cashier experience (a plus)
