Average annual pay: $92,500, plus $80 per layover (3 to 4 layovers required). No-touch freight.

About the role

You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. You’ll haul piping material using a flatbed trailer, averaging 4 to 8 stops per week, and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers.

Schedule

Sunday dispatch with a 34-hour reset each week.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
  • English language proficiency (required by federal law, 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Ability to work the required schedule and location
  • Complete Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner; accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others

  • Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
