Truck Driver - OTR Class A - Penske Logistics

Average annual pay: $88,000, plus $63 per layover and up to $1,200 in additional bonus earning potential.

About the role

• No-touch freight
• Two consecutive days off per week
• Drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs for comfort and safety
• Trucks equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras for safety
• Deliver commercial electrical products to customers with OTR travel
• Five-day work week with potential to dispatch Sunday and return home Saturday

Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and on time while representing Penske and client brands
• Adhere to all federal and state laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance
• Operate vehicle in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency as required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
