Truck Driver - OTR Class A - Penske Logistics

Average annual pay: $90,000 plus a $5,000 retention bonus.

About the role

You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.

Responsibilities

• Drop and hook auto glass three times per week from Western WA to Eastern WA
• Chaining required

Schedule

• Sunday through Friday
• Dispatch at 5:30 PM
• Three layovers required per week

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• One year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last three years, or two years in the last five years
• Three-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Must comply with all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Must work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Must complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others

• Must be able to see and hear
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must frequently move, stand, walk, and sit
• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
