Truck Driver NON CDL No Weekends

About the Role

Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Syracuse, NY for a local, home-daily driving career with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and well-maintained equipment.

Pay

$950–$1,150 per week, paid weekly.

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.40 per mile
• Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop
• Paid training

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Start time: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• 40+ hours per week

Route & Equipment

• Solo deliveries within an 80-mile radius of Syracuse
• Home daily
• Truck type: Box truck (16', 22' & 26')
• Equipment provided: Pallet jack, lift gate, hand truck
• Ryder provides training on all equipment
• Freight: Touch – auto parts
• Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and nationwide fueling at over 800 locations

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within compliance of all safety regulations and customer service standards
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Note: This position does not require a CDL, but candidates with a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
