Truck Driver NON CDL Local No Weekends

About the role

Ryder is hiring a NON‑CDL Truck Driver in Bethel Park, PA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. You will deliver solo within an 80‑mile radius of Carnegie, PA on a local home‑daily route using a box truck (16′, 22′ or 26′). Equipment includes a pallet jack, lift gate and hand truck; Ryder provides training on all needed equipment. Freight consists of touch‑auto parts. You will operate well‑maintained, safe trucks that are 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling available at over 800 nationwide locations. The role offers autonomy on the road with support behind the scenes, and Ryder purchases owner‑operator trucks while providing support during transitions and throughout your career. The team includes many military reservists and veterans, and your contributions are recognized and valued.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by the customer
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment: 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Qualifications

This position does not require the operation of CDL‑regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to a pre‑employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
