Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Stow, OH — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

$1,100 or more per week

  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.43 per mile with 1,234 miles per week
  • Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop with 51 stops per week
  • Paid training

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday (no weekends)
  • Start time: 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM
  • 48+ hours per week
  • Home daily

About the role

  • Deliver solo within an 80-mile radius of Stow, OH
  • Route: Local
  • Truck type: Box truck (22' & 26')
  • Equipment: Pallet jack, lift gate, and hand truck (Ryder provides training)
  • Freight: Touch – auto parts
  • Operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (if applying for a straight or box truck position):
    • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Note: This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a vehicle within compliance of safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
