About the role
Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Batavia, NY for local solo routes within a 120-mile radius. Drivers operate well-maintained box trucks (16', 22', or 26') equipped with pallet jacks, lift gates, and hand trucks, delivering auto parts with daily home time.
Pay
- Weekly pay: $950–$1,200
- Solo miles pay: $0.37 per mile
- Solo stops pay: $12.00 per stop
- Paid training
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, no weekends
- Start time: 6:00 AM–7:00 AM
- 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities
- Safely drive a non-CDL box truck within a 120-mile radius of Batavia, NY
- Comply with all federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Detect and minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records
- Load and unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other assigned tasks
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience in like equipment (box truck or straight truck) within the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Note: Candidates with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query. Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, or customer-specific badging/background requirements.
