Pay

• $1157 or more per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.55 per Mile with 1300 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $14.50 per Stop with 25 Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $40 per night with 2 nights per Week
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Paid Training

Schedule

Monday – Friday NO WEEKENDS. Start Time: 4:00 am.

Route & equipment

• Deliver SOLO 300-mile radius of Louisville
• Route: Local Regional
• Tractor Type: Straight Truck 26'
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, lift gate and Forklift — Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Touch – Glass Shower Doors

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (*must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
  • 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
