Truck Driver NON CDL Home Daily

Ryder is hiring a non-CDL Truck Driver in Louisville, KY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

$967 or more per week with the following breakdown:

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.39 per mile with 1,189 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop with 42 stops per week
• Hourly Pay While Covering: $25.00 per hour

Paid training provided.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Start Time: 7:00 AM
• 42+ hours per week
• Will occasionally cover vacations at another account

About the Role

• Deliver solo to Louisville, KY, and occasionally Lexington
• Local route with home daily
• Truck Type: Box Truck (16', 22' & 26')
• Equipment: Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck
• Freight: Touch – Auto Parts
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (if applying for a straight truck or box truck position):
  • 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Note: This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
