Truck Driver - Local Class A Doubles Floater - Penske Logistics

You’ll represent both Penske and client accounts, often driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms. This role offers training opportunities, stable nationwide employment, and a strong safety record.

Responsibilities

• Work at various dedicated local accounts and shifts as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to log products as they are unloaded and delivered
• Represent Penske and client brands professionally

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Must comply with all federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• English language proficiency required (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Must pass background investigation (employment, education, criminal history) and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear with specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement including standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to touch, handle, and feel
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Frequent and safe entry/exit of vehicle and rear cargo area

Pay

• Earn $33 per hour
• $5,000 retention bonus
• Overtime after 40 hours
• Paid every Friday

Schedule

• Local, home daily
• Dispatch times vary depending on work assignment
