About the role
Ryder Drivers on this account earn $1700 or more weekly. Drivers are paid weekly and operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per mile with 1800 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $26.00 per stop with 25 stops per week
- Drop and Hook Pay: $26.00 per drop/hook
- Hours Per Week: 50 or more hours
- Route: Regional (3 nights out per week, home 1-2 nights during the week)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Sunday–Thursday, or Tuesday–Saturday
- Start Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Deliver To: Interstate (800-mile radius)
- Tractor Type: Sleeper with APU connections
- Trailer Type: Dry Van, 53’
- Equipment: Manual or electric pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate (Ryder provides training)
- Freight: Touch – Hardware
- Endorsements: Hazmat preferred

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
- Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
