About the role

Ryder Drivers on this account earn $1700 or more weekly. Drivers are paid weekly and operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.

• Solo Miles Pay: $0.59 per mile with 1800 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $26.00 per stop with 25 stops per week
• Drop and Hook Pay: $26.00 per drop/hook
• Hours Per Week: 50 or more hours
• Route: Regional (3 nights out per week, home 1-2 nights during the week)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Sunday–Thursday, or Tuesday–Saturday
• Start Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Deliver To: Interstate (800-mile radius)
• Tractor Type: Sleeper with APU connections
• Trailer Type: Dry Van, 53’
• Equipment: Manual or electric pallet jack, hand truck, and lift gate (Ryder provides training)
• Freight: Touch – Hardware
• Endorsements: Hazmat preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
• Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
