About the role

Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed. Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships. Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered.

Schedule

  • Local, home daily
  • Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
  • Off days: Saturday and Sunday or Sunday and Monday

Drive late-model, Penske-maintained trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety. Trucks are equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety for all.

Pay

  • Average annual pay: $75,972
  • $5,000 retention bonus

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency (required by federal law for compliance)
  • Must work the required schedule and location
  • Complete Penske employment application, background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening

  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to touch, handle, and feel

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg), occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
  • Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
  • Accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others
