Truck Driver - CDL Class A Floater - Penske Logistics

About the Role

Join Penske as a Full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver and earn $28.50 per hour with home daily schedules and no touch freight. This role offers a $5,000 retention bonus and the opportunity to drive late-model Penske trucks equipped with advanced safety features, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.

Responsibilities

• Handle no touch freight using drop and hook methods
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
• Represent Penske and client brands while driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms
• Adhere to all federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Ensure regular, predictable, and full attendance

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required, with applicants domiciled and licensed in the U.S.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency as required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to pass a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, accepting responsibility for personal and others' safety

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Regular use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Legal ability to operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area

Pay

$28.50 per hour, with weekly pay every Friday. $5,000 retention bonus available.
