Truck Driver - CDL Class A Floater - Penske Logistics

About the role

Work at various dedicated local accounts and shifts performing multi-stop deliveries of auto glass supplies to stores. You will unload trailers using manual pallet jacks and hand trucks, and use a scanner to log products as they are delivered.

Schedule

• Local, home daily
• 5:30 pm dispatch time
• Schedule varies depending on work assignment

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of auto glass supplies to stores
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• Represent client brands while driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law 49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

• Late-model, Penske-maintained trucks with best-in-class comfort and safety specs
• Inward and outward facing in-cab cameras for safety

Pay is $35 per hour, with paydays every Friday.

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision requirements including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg), occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg)
• Frequent and safe entry/exit of vehicle and rear cargo area
• Legal operation of a motor vehicle
