Truck Driver CDL A No Touch Regional

About the Role

Choosing a driving career is a big decision. Respect for your talent and experience while being upfront about pay, routes, and schedules are priorities at Ryder. Deliver solo to ID, NV, OR & WA on a regional route with 2–3 nights out per week. Tractor type is a 2019 sleeper; trailer is a 53’ dry van carrying no-touch beverage freight. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire—Ryder reimburses costs and provides training to obtain endorsements.

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Pay

• $1,650 or more per week
• Solo miles pay: $0.59 per mile with 2,500+ miles per week
• Safety bonus: up to $2,000 per year
• Paid training
• Sign-on bonus: $4,000 ($1,500 at 90 days, $2,500 at 9 months)

Schedule

• 55+ hours per week
• Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday
• Start time: 5:00 AM–10:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
