TRIO Academic Coordinator

Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in the recruitment and retention of TRIO SSS participants.
• Assist in the academic assessment and development of Individual Education Plans for participants.
• Contribute to the development of the TRIO SSS Grant College Success course.
• Organize and participate in campus tours and cultural enrichment events.
• Create and maintain educational plans and class registrations for TRIO SSS participants.
• Provide guidance on the implications of the transfer process and help participants set educational goals.

Essential Functions

• Arrange for appropriate assessment activities and remediation as needed.
• Support TRIO SSS participants in their pursuit of financial aid.
• Help participants identify and access community resources.
• Participate in the creation, implementation, and administration of the TRIO SSS Student Seminar/Orientation program.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and projects related to the TRIO SSS Grant program.
• Maintain comprehensive computerized data for all SSS participants.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, student personnel, or a related field is required. Two years of experience in a higher educational setting is preferred.
• Certifications and Licenses: A valid driver’s license is required.
