Trial Court Administrator

About the role

The Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida is seeking an experienced and dynamic executive leader to serve as the Trial Court Administrator (TCA). Reporting directly to the Chief Judge, the TCA acts as the Circuit’s chief administrative officer, providing executive leadership for court operations across Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties. The position is based in Fort Pierce, Florida, with travel throughout the circuit, and is critical to supporting the effective, efficient, and timely administration of justice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic planning and policy for the circuit’s courts.
• Oversee budgeting, fiscal management, and financial reporting.
• Manage human resources functions and workforce oversight.
• Direct technology initiatives and court facilities management.
• Coordinate program and service delivery to meet judicial needs.
• Maintain relationships with state and local government, the Bar, and other judicial partners.
• Provide executive leadership and guidance to ensure professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment across all court operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Eight (8) years of related professional experience, including at least five (5) years in an executive leadership role.
• Strong financial and organizational management skills.
• Strategic vision and excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and integrity.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and extensive knowledge of the Florida State Court System.

Pay
