POSITION: COURT ADMINISTRATORDEPARTMENT: Probate CourtPAY GRADE: 33 - $101,506APPLY BY: July 29, 2026.Join the Probate Court team as the Court Administrator!.We're seeking a highly experienced and dedicated professional to plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative and fiscal operations of the Probate Court. This key leadership role involves overseeing personnel management, budget administration, case management accountability, and coordinating court operations to ensure efficiency and compliance. If you have a Bachelor's Degree and at least five years of related court and supervisory experience, and are ready to take on a pivotal role, we encourage you to apply..Examples of Duties:Plans, coordinates, and directs the administrative operations of Probate Court to ensure effective and efficient court operations, including interpreting and applying departmental or office rules, policies, and regulations in accordance with prescribed procedures and guidelines.Oversees the personnel management functions, including administering wage and salary systems, recruiting, selecting, training, developing, evaluating, and counseling non-judicial staff.Oversees accountability efforts by (1) utilizing the tools and information available in the Court’s case management system, (2) developing tracking and notification systems to enable timely reviews and efficient use of accountability hearings, (3) reviewing financial reports to make recommendations to the Judicial Staff, and (4) developing training for and assigning accountability tasks to appropriate team members.Supervises and coordinates the work of all court personnel, including creating strategic work plans to ensure efficient court operation.Supervises and trains Probate Court staff, assists staff with complex/problem situations, provides technical expertise, and ensures proper compliance with established policies and procedures.In coordination with the Probate Judge or other designated staff, supervises financial transactions of the court, including deposits, payments to vendors, entry and maintenance of financial records, custodial accounts and all other records, and the preparation of financial records for internal and external audit.Manages the fiscal administrative functions of the Court, including budget preparation and administration, purchasing, payroll, and financial control functions.Receives, prepares, maintains, and updates Index Pleadings, supervises the entry of pleadings into the computer, assigns file numbers, ensures that pleadings are correctly docketed and placed in file, and conducts cross checking to ensure accuracy.Prepares, completes, and manages a variety of court documents including docket reports, court calendars, financial reports, and other documents.Serves as a liaison between the Court and other Courts, departments, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and the public.Performs other duties as assigned..Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Sociology, or a closely related field, andAt least five (5) years of Court Clerk experience, including considerable related supervisory experience; orAny equivalent combination of training and experience.
