The START Center for Cancer Care is seeking a dedicated Treatment Room LVN to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced oncology professionals in a patient-focused environment, providing skilled nursing care and support to patients throughout their treatment journey. The position offers a weekday schedule with no evening, weekend, or on-call shifts, along with immediate benefits eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Administer IV fluids and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patients throughout treatment.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and potential side effects.
- Obtain vital signs, height, and weight and prepare patients for clinic visits.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment administration.
- Coordinate care with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and a safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current Texas LVN license in good standing.
- Oncology, infusion, or IV therapy experience preferred.
- Strong phlebotomy and venous access skills.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
