LVN - Oncology Clinic

About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse II position at JPS Health Network is part of the Acclaim Multispecialty Group, which serves over 25 locations across Tarrant County. This role is based in the Oncology & Infusion Center and involves providing comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality nursing care to assigned groups of patients while minimizing risks.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Maintains accurate and detailed reports and records.
• Provides patient education and guides, educates, and leads LVNs and non-licensed clinical staff.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice vocational nursing in Texas.
• JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification within three months of hire (required in Emergency Department and Critical Care).
• EKG test passed within ninety days of hire (required in Emergency Department and Critical Care).
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) completion within ninety days of hire (required in Emergency Department).
• Completion of unit-specific competency-based orientation program within ninety days (if applicable).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six weeks of employment (for Inpatient Women’s Services).
• Non-violent crisis de-escalation training completed within ninety days of hire (required in Emergency Department).
• Four hundred eighty-seven five (4875), four hundred eighty-seven six (4876), four hundred eighty-seven seven (4877), and four hundred eighty-seven eight (4878) licensed vocational nurse experience levels required.

• Four hundred eighty-seven five (4875): 0 - 1.99 years of relevant experience.
• Four hundred eighty-seven six (4876): 2 - 4.99 years of relevant experience.
• Four hundred eighty-seven seven (4877): 5 - 9.99 years of relevant experience.
• Four hundred eighty-seven eight (4878): 10+ years of relevant experience.

Skills

The pay rate for this position is hourly.

Schedule

This position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
