OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute offers patients access to the most transformative technology in the country, from diagnostic imaging to treatments. It is among fewer than 40 institutes in the country to offer proton therapy and only the second in Illinois. The OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute is home to the OSF Breakthrough Treatment Center, where we provide individuals battling the most difficult-to-treat cancers access to the most promising medical breakthroughs, novel therapies and clinical trials from around the world. Responsibilities
- Provides appropriate safe basic care to patients
- Takes vital signs
- Assists patients with activities of daily living
- Performs specimen collection
- Observes patients for physical/emotional changes
- Records pertinent information in patient charts
- Communicates with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care
- May function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed
- Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs
Qualifications
Required:
- CNA‑Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR – American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience supporting physical, emotional and psycho‑social needs of patients
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. Shift Differentials Weekend: $1.75/hour.
Schedule
Hours of Operation: Monday‑Friday: 0700‑1700; Saturday: 0800‑1400; Sunday: 0800‑1200.
