About the role
The Traveling Security Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, testing, and inspecting a wide range of access control and IP camera products and systems. As a customer-facing employee, the Technician must be personable, knowledgeable, and a self-starter capable of making sound decisions in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology. The role requires basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under the direction and supervision of various departments.
Responsibilities
- Service and test various access control and IP camera products and platforms.
- Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of door hardware installation.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate all project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of security installation experience and network ability.
- Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (e.g., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
- Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
- DCJS Certified is required.
- Prior troubleshooting experience.
- Security industry certifications.
- Knowledge of Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, or Hirsh.
- Ability to travel around the U.S. and be away for 2 weeks at a time.
Pay
$65,000 USD - $90,000 USD
