Traveling Security Technician

About the role

Unlimited Technology (UT) is a premier cyber and physical security specialty contractor serving the facilities and networks of the world’s leading brands and critical infrastructure. As a Traveling Security Technician, you will install, service, test, and inspect a wide range of access-control and IP-camera products and systems. This is a customer-facing role that requires a personable, knowledgeable self-starter capable of making sound decisions in the best interest of both the customer and UT.

Responsibilities

• Service and test various access-control and IP-camera products and platforms.
• Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
• Apply a basic understanding of door-hardware installation.
• Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
• Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Communicate all project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
• At least three to five years of security-installation experience and network ability.
• Knowledgeable of security-equipment systems (e.g., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
• Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access-control, and assessment-system devices.
• Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred.
• DCJS certification required.
• Prior troubleshooting experience.
• Security-industry certifications.
• Knowledge of Software House, Gallagher, Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch, or Hirsh systems.
• Able to travel around the U.S. for two weeks at a time.

Pay

$65,000 USD – $90,000 USD
