Traveling Security Technician

UT Government is looking to add a Traveling Security Technician to their team. The Security Technician is responsible for the installing, service, testing and inspection of a wide range of access control and IP Camera products and systems. As a customer facing employee, the Security Technician must be a personable, knowledgeable self-starter who is capable of making sound decisions that are in the best interest of the customer and Unlimited Technology.
Responsibilities
- Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
- Must be able to read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Must have a basic understanding of door hardware installation.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate all project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of security installation experience and network ability.
- Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (i.e., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
- Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
- Ability to obtain and retain a U.S. Government Security Clearance preferred
- DCJS Certified is required.
- Prior troubleshooting experience.
- Security industry certifications
- Knowledge of: Lenel, Hanwha, Bosch and AiPhone
- Ability to travel around the US
- Able to travel 2 weeks at a time
Pay
Pay Range: $65,000 USD - $100,000 USD
