Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read and comprehend engineered drawings.
  • Must have a basic understanding of door hardware installation.
  • Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork relating to job tickets.
  • Must be able to travel up to 2-3 weeks at a time
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Communicate all project activity to the UT project manager or appropriate manager in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe driving record and report any incidents or near misses to management immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state-recognized equivalent.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of security installation experience and network ability.
  • Knowledgeable of security equipment systems (i.e., intrusion detection, assessment, and access control).
  • Capable of installing and maintaining various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
  • Prior troubleshooting experience.
  • Security industry certifications.
  • Knowledge of: Software House, Lenel, AMAG, Galaxy, Brivo, Bosch, Southwest Microwave, Genetec, and/or Onssi.

Pay Range

$60,000 - $90,000 USD

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong background in security installation and network capabilities. You should be comfortable with reading and comprehending engineered drawings, and possess a solid foundation in security equipment systems such as intrusion detection, assessment, and access control. Prior troubleshooting experience and relevant certifications are highly valued.

Skills

As a Traveling Security Technician, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in a variety of security-related tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Service and test various Access Control and IP Camera products and platforms.
  • Read and comprehend engineered drawings.
  • Install and maintain various alarms, access control, and assessment system devices.
  • Provide sound decision-making in the best interest of both the customer and Unlimited Technology.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Maintain a safe working and driving environment.
  • Report any incidents or near misses promptly to management.
