Traveling Cardiology NP / PA

About the role

Ascension Saint Thomas Heart is expanding its renowned cardiovascular network by adding a specialized Womens Heart Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to lead dedicated, gender-specific cardiac care initiatives across our regional outreach clinics. The facility includes 683 licensed acute and rehab care beds serving a population of approximately 730,000, with a recent $300 million Midtown campus expansion completed in 2023 that provides a clinically and technologically advanced healthcare destination. Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system with an integrated referral network.

Responsibilities

• Join an established team of 17 physicians and 10 advanced practice providers (APPs).
• Manage specialized outpatient clinics dedicated to female-specific cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, and ongoing therapy.
• Partner closely with general cardiologists and OB/GYNs to build seamless referral pathways.
• Practice setting: outpatient; call structure not required; access to support staff.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
