Candidates should be board‑certified or board‑eligible in cardiology and eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration. Responsibilities include conducting inpatient daily rounding, consultations, admissions, and discharges for adult acute care patients and formulating co‑managed patient treatment plans alongside nursing, case management, and specialty services. The facility is a 251‑bed hospital serving a population of approximately 738,000, with an integrated referral network and is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.
Responsibilities
- Manage inpatient care, rounding, and admissions during peak hospital weekend hours
- Conduct inpatient daily rounding, consultations, admissions, and discharges for adult acute care patients
- Formulate co‑managed patient treatment plans alongside nursing, case management, and specialty services
Requirements
- BLS Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing (or equivalent) obtained prior to hire/transfer
