Travel Stepdown / MedSurg RN - $2,250 per week

About the role

Join our team as a Charge Nurse in our Stepdown/MedSurg unit, ideal for both new and experienced nurses. The unit is currently under construction and will have 29 step‑down beds slated to open in the first quarter of 2026. You will be responsible for providing high‑quality patient care in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment. The unit serves a diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses, and you will be expected to manage both floor and step‑down patients as needed. Start date: ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain nurse:patient ratios of 3:1 for step down and 6:1 for med‑surg
• Titrate drips with written orders in a flex unit setting
• Utilize Epic for charting and patient management
• Collaborate effectively with Clinical Associates (CAs) to enhance patient care
• Monitor patients using Phillips telemetry equipment and engage with the remote telemetry surveillance center

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with EPIC mandatory
• Ability to handle a patient load of 6 for med‑surg or 3 for step‑down care

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, days
• Weekend day shift: 7 AM – 7:30 PM (Friday‑Saturday‑Sunday or Saturday‑Sunday‑Monday)
