Travel Stepdown/MedSurg RN - $2,255 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN travel position in Morgantown, West Virginia. Specialty: Stepdown. Discipline: RN. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 12‑hour days, 36 hours per week. Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop; lift up to 20 pounds routinely, with occasional patient lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (preferred 1‑2 years).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
