About the role
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down nursing in a healthcare facility. The RN will provide advanced patient care to a diverse adult population, focusing on critical and complex conditions such as cardiac, vascular, renal failure, and post-procedure recovery. The position involves night shifts, requiring candidates to be adaptable and proficient in acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage adult patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, stroke, post stent, and post pacemaker placement.
- Be competent in arterial lines.
- Titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin.
- Interpret telemetry strips.
- Utilize equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen.
- Participate in a one-day orientation.
- Adapt to floating between units, including ICU or MedSurg, as needed.
- Use overhead lifts, vein finders, bladder scanners, and portable lifts available on the unit.
Requirements
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Valid RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care or step‑down setting.
- Possess a driver’s license.
- Demonstrate competency in arterial lines and titratable drips.
- Exhibit flexibility, teamwork, and good communication skills, particularly in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to adapt to floating between units (ICU/MedSurg) as needed.

Schedule
Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, totaling 48 hours per week.
