About the role
Care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, Diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, neuro/surgical/cardiac conditions, and more. Utilize equipment like EMR systems (EPIC) and medication dispensing systems (Pyxis).
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in a fast-paced inpatient acute floor environment.
- Work night shifts (12 hours per shift) with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Work three rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Participate in first-day orientation with education team and a day of floor orientation.
- May float to different units based on experience, including ICU or general medical floors.
Requirements
- Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS.
- Education: Relevant nursing degree.
- Location: Willing to work at the healthcare provider's facility.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years.
Schedule
- Shift: 12 hours, nights.
- Hours per week: 36.
- Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work environment
- Unit contains 32 beds with all private rooms.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 3-4 patients per nurse.
- Dress code is scrubs of any color.
