Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Required documentation including last four digits of SSN and active IL license

Additional Information

• Float rotation may be required, with a ratio of 1:5 on the assigned unit
• The unit cares for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope
• Orientation includes one hospital shift, two unit shifts (one day, one night)
• The department features a 26-bed capacity with nurse aides, charge nurses, and 24/7 pharmacy support
• The unit works with patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring, including Bipap and Cpap support, but no vents
• The department operates with a hospitalist or intensivist in house from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
