Travel Step Down Unit RN - $2,285 per week

About the role

The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to work in an acute care setting. This role involves providing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including respiratory, neurological, and surgical cases, with a focus on ICU/intermediate level skills. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced environment on night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, DM, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and other respiratory conditions
• Manage neuro, surgical, and cardiac patients
• Work in a 20-bed Step Down Unit with private and semi-private rooms
• Titrate drips such as Cardene, Cardizem, Amio, Dobutamine, Heparin, and vasopressors
• Manage patients with trach and ventilator needs
• Float to ICU or other units as needed

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active Illinois license
• BLS certification
• ACLS recommended
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant ICU/Intermediate (Stepdown) experience

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday requirements
• Patient ratio of 3:1 with multiple patient care techs per shift
