Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment in Portland, Oregon. This position involves providing care for higher-acuity patients, including ventilated, trach, and complex cardiac and respiratory cases. The RN will float between units as needed, supporting critical care functions within a short-term acute care facility.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a step-down or similar critical care setting
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with ventilated patients, trach care, central line management, cardiac drips management (no titration), and EPIC charting system
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a trauma or level II trauma setting
Float
- Float rotation may be required within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals.
Additional Information
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- Candidates should be flexible to work rotating holidays and may be expected to float to sister facilities in the vicinity
- All scheduling and time-off requests must be specified during submittal, as post-offer RTO considerations are limited
- Candidates are required to submit two references covering at least one year within the past three years and confirm previous engagement with a healthcare facility or agency if applicable

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
