Travel Step Down Unit RN - $2,127 per week

Travel nursing assignment in Evansville, Indiana at a highly respected Cardiac Neuro Stepdown team within a teaching hospital known for outstanding leadership and low staff turnover.

About the role

• 19-bed blended Stepdown/Cardiac Neuro unit
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other holiday and 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• Float within your skill set to nearby affiliated campuses when needed
• Teaching hospital with experienced leadership and exceptional staff retention
• Navy blue scrubs

Responsibilities

• Telemetry & 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Post-cardiac cath care (TR Bands/Femoral access)
• Titrate Cardizem, Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitroglycerin, Insulin & Heparin drips
• Strong NIHSS and neurological assessments
• Sepsis management
• Chest tube care
• Peripheral IV insertion

Patient Population

• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Post-cardiac cath, stents, pacemakers, ICDs & ablations
• CVA, seizures, possible TBI
• Sepsis
• DKA
• Carotid endarterectomy patients

Requirements

• Active Compact RN License
• AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
• Recent EPIC experience required
• 2 years of Stepdown experience + 1 travel assignment OR 5 years of Stepdown experience (no travel required)
• Must pass telemetry interpretation testing

Schedule

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM or nights)
