Travel Step Down Unit RN - $2,295 per week

Job Summary

A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Units is needed at a healthcare facility in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing care to post-surgical thoracic and medicine patients, with a focus on titrating drips and interpreting strips.

Job Details

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Shift: 12-hour nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• 2 years of experience in MedSurg Step Down experience
• Able to titrate drips and read strips
• Minimum of 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong MedSurg Stepdown experience
• Able to titrate drips
• Ability to read EKG strips
• Float rotation may be required

Additional Information

• Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 for stepdown and 1:4 for combo assignments
• No ventilators, but BIPAP and trach care available
• RN interprets and charts rhythms Q4 hours or more frequently with medication titration
• Centralized telemetry monitors patient EKG rhythm interpretation
• Dress code: Royal Blue
• Unit orientation: 3 shifts of department-specific training
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Willing to wait for license submission
• Travelers must work holidays if needed
