Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of ultrasound studies, including abdominal, renal, liver/spleen, gallbladder, pancreas, OB/GYN (1st–3rd trimester, fetal anatomical survey, transvaginal, placenta, amniotic fluid), vascular/Doppler (carotid, upper/lower extremity arterial & venous, renal artery duplex, transcranial Doppler), and pediatric/neonatal exams (hips, pyloric stenosis)
- Conduct breast, thyroid, scrotal/testicular, soft tissue, and superficial mass assessments; perform ultrasound-guided procedures (paracentesis, biopsies/FNA, cyst aspiration, thoracentesis)
- Utilize ultrasound equipment with M-mode, color flow, duplex capabilities; provide intraoperative assistance as needed
- Document findings thoroughly in the Epic charting system; communicate results clearly to radiologists and care teams
- May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities; participate in call coverage as needed
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and data privacy standards
Requirements
- Valid California license in hand
- ARDMS certification; BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience
- Epic charting experience preferred or required
- Ability to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities
- Willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
