Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across assigned modalities, including adult echocardiography, abdominal, obstetric, and vascular studies as directed
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, position patients for optimal imaging, and monitor comfort and safety
- Apply appropriate technique, adjust equipment settings, obtain high-quality images, and perform measurements as required
- Document findings and measurements; ensure proper labeling and storage of images in the patient record and PACS
- Maintain equipment and participate in basic quality assurance; uphold infection control and safety policies
- Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians; assist with patient transfer and care coordination as needed
Requirements
- Licenses: Current RDCS (A) certification
- Certifications: RDCS (A)
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Completion of an ECHO training program
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Additional: Multimodality ultrasound experience preferred; ability to work in a hospital setting; must be able to complete onboarding fingerprinting and comply with flu vaccination requirement; start date may be affected by fingerprint processing timelines
