Travel assignment for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound) in Dillon, Montana. Assignment begins 08/31/2026 and lasts 13 weeks.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $2,277–$2,361 with guaranteed hours of 40 per week.

Schedule

5x8 day shift (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30).

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations per physician orders, including abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging; breast imaging preferred but not mandatory.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, optimize image quality, and document findings; communicate preliminary results as appropriate.
  • Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout exams.
  • Maintain daily operations of the sonography room, including patient scheduling, room turnover, and coordinating with department staff.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the medical record and timely reporting; participate in QA/QC processes and address equipment issues promptly.
  • Adhere to high standards of medical ethics, infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and CME requirements; maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Certifications: Active ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular.
  • Additional credentials: Breast certification preferred; Adult Echo Cardiography preferred.
  • Licenses/Requirements: Current compliance with CME requirements for specialty(ies); Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment.
