Overview
This travel assignment places a double-registered ultrasound technologist in a healthcare facility setting, performing General Abdomen, Vascular, and OB/GYN exams with the ability to work independently. Schedule is variable to accommodate patient flow and department needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations in General Abdomen, Vascular, and OB/GYN regions as assigned
- Acquire, optimize, and document high-quality images and measurements; ensure accurate labeling and patient data
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, obtain consent when appropriate, and position patients for optimal imaging
- Verify patient safety and comfort, maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
- Communicate findings and images to the supervising radiologist or physician per department protocol; ensure timely reporting and proper documentation
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and room readiness, including cleanup, supply management, and adherence to safety protocols
Requirements
- ARDMS registries in General Abdomen (ABD), Vascular, and OB/GYN
- Double registered ultrasound technologist
- Ability to work independently and manage exams with minimal supervision
- Schedule is variable; comfortable with a rotating, dynamic workflow
