Travel Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech Ultrasound Tech Job

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician directions
• Acquire high-quality ultrasound images of target tissues and anatomy (abdomen, OB, vascular or jurisdiction-specific areas)
• Summarize, document and present images, measurements and findings to physicians for interpretation
• Provide direct patient care: assess condition, prepare patients, position equipment, monitor vital signs, and respond to adverse reactions
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot to ensure image quality, and adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards
• Supervise and mentor ultrasound staff as assigned; ensure accurate records and proper billing documentation

Requirements

• Diploma/certificate from an accredited ultrasound program
• Certification and current registration by ARDMS (AB, OB or RVT) or CCI-RVS; or ARRT-S or ARRT-VS; within one year of hire; CA requirement (multi-area eligibility preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• At least two years of recent ultrasound experience
• Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting and meet license/certification requirements for the assignment
