About the unit
- 2 triage rooms, 10 labor rooms, 2 ORs
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, 6 RNs, 1 scrub tech, 1 secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 triage nurse, 5 RNs, 1 scrub tech, 1 secretary
- Patient ratios: 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity
- Equipment: fetal monitors, IUPC, FSE, fluid warmer, IV pumps, epidural pumps
- EMR: CPN, Meditech
Responsibilities
- Perform typical procedures:
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- Amniocentesis
- Amnioinfusions
- IUPC/FSE placement
- Start IVs and draw labs
- Interpret fetal strips
- Perform vaginal exams
- Act as OB circulator (preferred)
- Scrub for procedures (preferred)
Requirements
- Required certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Closed unit with rotation every other weekend
- Possible circulator call
- Dress code: teal scrubs for nursing staff, navy for techs

- Shift: Night (12 hours)
- Start Time: 07:00 PM
- End Time: 07:00 AM
