Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT) and related lab testing;
• Calibrate and maintain PFT equipment;
• Absorb and maintain quality control data and procedures;
• Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and department leadership;
• Cook up and coordinate scheduling of PFT testing and related exams;
• Document testing results and patient data in the electronic medical record;
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with CMS and internal policies;
• Assist in training and supervising respiratory therapy students during clinical rotations in the PFT Lab;
• Participate in ongoing instrumentation updates, procedure development, and adherence to CAP and related guidelines as applicable.

Requirements

• Licensure: Current New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required;
• Certifications: Credentialed by the NBRC or certified RPFT required;
• CPR Certification required;
• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program or Cardiopulmonary Technologist program; preferred;
• Experience: Three to five years of experience in respiratory therapy and pulmonary function testing preferred.
