Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $2,227 per week
About the role
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care and support for patients in various care settings, predominantly in acute and critical care environments. The role includes operating and managing advanced respiratory therapy equipment, conducting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy interventions, including administering medications and treatments.
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Ensure optimal functioning of respiratory equipment.
- Conduct patient and family education regarding respiratory health and equipment use.
- Participate in call rotations and cover shifts across various units as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital setting, preferably in critical care.
- Current RRT certification.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP for NICU preferred.
- Experience in NICU/PICU settings is preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
- Current licensure to practice in the state of Maine.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Schedule: Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; includes working every other weekend and participating in the call rotation.
