Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of telemetry patients according to established standards of care and nursing process
• Collect pertinent patient data, analyze assessments, develop and implement an appropriate care plan, and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient status using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; coordinate care with other disciplines and ensure safe, healing environment
• Educate patients and families, participate in discharge planning, and advocate for continuity of care

Requirements

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; CPR or BLS per policy
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience: Minimum of two years of recent (acute care) nursing experience
• EMR: Recent experience with EPIC and Cerner systems; proficient in both
• Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital telemetry unit; strong clinical judgment and communication; night-shift proficiency
